The
Butterfly is a symbol of change, joy, love, and metamorphosis.
In China, it symbolizes conjugal bliss and joy. For Early Christians,
it represented the soul itself. North American Indians call upon
the butterfly for guidance in change, color, and happiness. And
of course, Butterfly in English and Papillon in French are both
used to describe that feeling in our stomachs on the big day!
All these images come together for me in the motivation I had
to create Papillon Weddings. As well, I was inspired by the opportunity
to work with couples to find creative ways to express their commitment
to one another in a way that reflects their values.
Isla
Mujeres is a paradise and it alone makes any wedding special. Because
we are not associated with any particular hotel or restaurant we
can create an occasion for you that is unique. As well, Papillon
Weddings will take care of all the details, from managing the legal
issues of marrying in Mexico to arranging for flowers, photographers
and even romantic massages on the beach! After all, what’s
the point of getting married in such a paradise if you don’t
have time to enjoy it?

fee depends on the size of your wedding party. Please contact us

of guests that will attend your wedding and we will give you a quote.

Weddings does not provide packaged services; every event is unique.
Please feel free to pick and choose from the services
we provide and don’t be afraid to ask about other ideas you
might have, we love to do creative work with our couples.
Papillon
Weddings is also able to plan events
throughout the Mayan Riviera and Cancun. As well, we are available
for other events such as birthdays and anniversaries, fashion shows,
cultural presentations and other social events.

In
1998, after graduating from the world renowned Lausanne Hotel Management
School and working for 3 years as Group and Conference Planner at
the Montreux Palace, at Lake Geneva, I set out to leave my native
Switzerland and find the perfect place to work and live. I began
my search working in hotels in the Dominican Republic, French and
British Caribbean Islands, Costa Rica and then finally in Isla Mujeres,
Mexico, where I am happy to say I found the perfect place I always
dreamed about.
I’ve
organized many weddings on Isla over the last two years as Assistant
Manager of the famous 5 star hotel, Villa Rolandi. I have all the
contacts needed to create unique ceremonies and receptions that
can fit your budget. I also speak French, English and Spanish so
language is no problem!
My
wish is to provide the most exclusive wedding ceremonies in the
most special venues that you can dream of. My aim throughout is
quality, originality, and tailor-made planning to create a wedding
that the two of you can cherish forever. All the details will be
arranged by Papillon Weddings. All you need to do is pack your bags!
Everything else will be taken care of with total attention to detail
and with the utmost precision.
We
can work with you in Spanish, French and English, and our Spiritual
Wedding Ceremonies can be conducted in German as well.
